Avulsion fractures of talus and calcaneus

Presentation

The patient was examined 6 days after inversion injury to the right ankle. Focal tenderness and swelling over lateral malleolus was present.

Patient Data

Age: 30
Gender: Male

There are small avulsion fractures of the lateral process of talus and the anterior process of calcaneus.

Case Discussion

Ultrasound examination (not shown) additionally revealed partial tear of the anterior talofibular ligament.
