In this MRI image of the ankle, the calcaneonavicular portion (yellow arrow) of the bifurcate ligament is seen at its origin at the anterior process of the calcaneus. In this patient, the bifurcate ligament was normal.
Case Discussion
The bifuracte ligament is a stabilizer of Chopart's joint. It consists of two portions; the calcaneonavicular portion, and the calcaneocuboid portion.
