Bilateral sacroiliac injections (CT guided)

Diagnostic/therapeutic injections

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male

Planning CT performed with overlying marking grid. After local anaesthetic along the needle tracks, 22 gauge Quincke needles were inserted into the inferior aspects of both joints.  Contrast confirmed intra-articular positions. Steroid injectate followed.  

Case Discussion

Bilateral sacroiliac joint injections can be performed simultaneously with CT, potentially saving dose and time.
