Right ankle eversion injury

Patient Data

Age: 24
Gender: Male
x-ray

There is a bimalleolar fracture dislocation of the right ankle. The talus is dislocated laterally in relation to the distal tibia. The fracture fragments are also slightly displaced. 

x-ray

Post reduction xray shows satisfactory alignment of the ankle mortise. On the lateral view the distal fibular fracture fragments displaced by 5mm posteriorly.

The medial malleolar fracture is displaced by approximately 9mm inferiorly. 

x-ray

Intraoperative xray imaging during internal fixation procedure. Lateral plate and screw fixation of distal fibula. Medial malleolus fracture has been stabilized with two screws.
