Presentation
Abdominal pain.
Patient Data
Parenchymal atrophic changes are seen at lower pole of right kidney. A few subcentimetre simple cortical cysts are seen at kidneys. There are also several parapelvic cysts at left kidney less than 32mm. Asymmetrical increased wall thickness suggestive of tumoural infiltration is present at caecum, accompanied by mild surrounding fat stranding and a few small regional lymphadenopathy. The prostate gland is enlarged. Degenerative changes as osteophytosis are seen at the lumbar spine.
Case Discussion
Caecal mass (pathology proven adenocarcinoma) with small regional lymphadenopathy. Colorectal cancers can be found anywhere from the caecum to the rectum. The caecum and ascending colon are involved in approxmiately 20% of cases.
