T2/FLAIR/DWI images show symmetrical hyperintensities in the central tegmental tracts also known as symmetrical central tegmental tract hyperintensities.
Case Discussion
These are nonspecific and may be seen physiologically in 1-5 years , however they may also be seen in variety of settings including hypoxia, epilepsy, metabolic diseases and others.
