Presentation
Knee pain and limitation of movement after recurrent trauma. Patient is atheletic. The patient had previous arthroscopy for meniscal tear.
Patient Data
Complete ACL tear with buckled yet intact PCL. The PHMM is degenerated with evidence of previous arthroscopic repair. There is focal cartilage loss at the medial femoral condyle with underlying reactive bony changes. Moreover there is premature osteoarthritic changes of the medial tibio-femoral articulation.
Case Discussion
Grade IV chondromalacia of the medial femoral condyle with premature osteoarthritis. The previous arthroscopy may be responsible for the cartilage damage.
