Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Right-sided gluteal region gradually increased in size, swelling with pain.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female

There is a large, partially circumscribed, heterogeneous, destructive mass lesion with associated soft tissue component which is centered on the right ischium which is invading the right obturator muscle medially, extending into the right hemipelvis and abutting urinary bladder, uterine cervix, and right levator ani muscle.

Postero-laterally the mass lesion is abutting the right gluteus maximus muscle.

Right hip joint grossly appears unremarkable.

No definite enlarged regional lymph nodes are seen.

Case Discussion

CT findings are of mass lesion with malignant appearance and extensions as described above which was confirmed chondrosarcoma pathologically.
