The fetal biometry is at 20 weeks and 5 days.
There is a posterior defect in the left hemidiaphragm, causing the stomach to herniate into the thoracic cavity (the stomach and heart are at the same level in the transverse section).
The heart is displaced to the right.
The stomach was not visible in its normal position.
No other fetal anomalies were seen.
Case Discussion
The ultrasound results are most consistent with a diagnosis of congenital diaphragmatic hernia, most likely of the Bochdalek type.
