Presentation

Lateral foot painful swelling in a known diabetic patient.

Patient Data

Age: 75 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Focal small lucencies are seen in the distal portion of 5th metatarsal bone accompanied by adjacent soft tissue swelling. A few small lucencies are also observed in soft tissue inferring gas gangrene.
