Dynamic Hip Screw is a marketing name for the Synthes company and is one of the examples of a sliding hip screw. There are different varieties of sliding hip screws generated by various implant companies. Few orthopaedic surgeons will introduce a derotation screw into the neck of the femur to restrict rotation and prevent avascular necrosis.
