Anterior to the distal descending colon, there is a small oval fatty mass with a thin high-density rim "hyperattenuating ring sign", surrounding inflammatory fat stranding, and thickening of the adjacent peritoneum.
No renal or ureteric calculi noted.

CT findings are most consistent with epiploic appendagitis.
