Presentation
Asymptomatic patient. Suspected parapelvic cysts. Rule out hydronephrosis.
Patient Data
Small mass between the stomach and the left adrenal gland. In supine position a clear distinction between a gastric diverticulum and a left adrenal mass cannot be made. After scanning in prone position a small locule of gas moved into the gastric diverticulum so that a diagnosis of a small gastric diverticulum can be made.
Multiple parapelvic cysts on the left side. No hydronephrosis.
Case Discussion
By scanning in prone position it is possible to get gas into a dorsal gastric diverticulum to easily differentiate between an adrenal mass and a gastric diverticulum as in this case.
