Hemorrhagic intracranial metastases

History of breast cancer. Presents with confusion and numbness in left limbs.

Patient Data

Age: 73
Gender: Female

CT Brain

Non contrast CT shows multiple poorly demarcated areas of hypoattenuation in the brain parenchyma. There is a hyperattenuating nodular focus in right frontoparietal transition (hemorrhagic focus). 

Post contrast study showed multiple nodules with ring enhancement involving the cerebral and cerebellar parenchyma. The hemorrhagic focus had correspondence with one of these nodules.

There is also multiple skull lytic nodules.

There is also an hemorrhagic brain metastases and skull lytic lesions (lytic bone metastases).
