Multiple well-defined contrast non-enhancing cystic space occupying lesions are seen in both lobes of the liver. The liver is enlarged in size.
Case Discussion
Hepatic hydatid disease is most common (76%) among the organs that are affected by Echinococcus.
According to morphology, there are 4 types of cysts. The above-shown cysts belong to type 1 as it is simple cyst without any internal features.
The peripheral blood film revealed eosinophillia in this patient. The patient did not give any history of fever.
