There is soft tissue lesion of intermediate signal intensity on T1 and T2 seen at the level of the jugular foramen with extension to the hypotympanum and anterior to the cochlear promontory with avid enhancement following contrast administration.
Fluid signal is seen at the left mastoid air cells denoting retained secretions.
Case Discussion
The clinical presentation and imaging findings represent an example of jugulotympanic paraganglioma which is a jugular paraganglioma that has spread to the middle ear cavity.
