Case contributed by Dr Abdallah Khateeb

Presentation

Known case of renal tubular acidosis type 1.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years old
Gender: Male
Modality: X-ray

Two X-Ray KUB images of the same patient at different times, showing nephriform distribution of heavy calcifications.

Modality: Ultrasound

These calcifications are exerting posterior acoustic shadowing that obscured the renal sinus.

Modality: CT

CT KUB better shows these calcifications that are involving the medulla and sparing the cortex.
