Meningioma - posterior cranial fossa

There is a well-circumscribed extra-axial soft tissue mass of the posterior cranial fossa measuring 22 x 20 x 18 mm adjacent to the lateral sinus with broad-based dural attachment, It displays a low signal on all sequences (partially calcified mainly of the central portion) with intense and homogeneous enhancement on postcontrast sequences with "dural tail sign" and adjacent reactive hyperostosis. No extension into the adjacent lateral sinus.
Case Discussion
MRI features are most consistent with a meningioma of the posterior cranial fossa (incidental finding in this case).
Only 5-10% of meningiomas are of infratentorial location.
