Mildly dilated biliary tree without cause seen.
Stranding of mesenteric fat with pseudocapsule and small lymph nodes.
Case Discussion
The edema within the mesentery results in fractional intravoxel fat and thus in signal drop on T1 opposed phase in an area that otherwise maintains signal. Typical appearances with are within the small bowel mesentery demonstrating some edema, and containing small lymph nodes.
The diagnosis of mesenteric panniculitis is somewhat controversial but many consider it as part of the sclerosing mesenteritis spectrum.
