Patient Data
There are innumerable variable-sized hypodense and hypoenhancing lesions seen scattered through the liver parenchyma resulting in irregular liver contour, the largest measuring 6.5 x 5.7 cm, otherwise the liver is normal in density and size.
A few subcentimetric paraaortic lymph nodes and in the porta hepatis are noted.
An annular pancreas is noted.

Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) represent a wide spectrum of diseases. They consist of a large heterogeneous group of malignancies that are derived from embryonic neural crest tissue found in various organs such as the hypothalamus, pituitary gland, thyroid gland, adrenal medulla, and gastrointestinal tract.
Metastatic neuroendocrine tumors of the liver are far more common than primary hepatic neuroendocrine tumors.
