A vascular coil originating from the anterior inferior cerebellar artery (AICA) can be seen indenting the cranial nerves entering the right internal auditory canal.
Case Discussion
AICA loops in the cerebello-pontine cistern have been accused of causing auditory and vestibular symptoms 1, as well as hemifacial spasm 2 resulting from compression of the VII and VIII cranial nerves.
