Presentation

Lower neck pain.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

Normal alignment. The visualised spinal cord is of normal signal intensity and calibre. Unremarkable craniocervical junction and visualised posterior cranial fossa.

No intervertebral disc herniation. The spinal canal and neural exit foramina are capacious.

Mild T1-2 disc degeneration. No high-grade stenosis in the visualised upper thoracic spine. No aggressive focal osseous lesion. Paraspinal tissues demonstrate no gross abnormality.

Case Discussion

Normal MRI of the cervical spine for reference. Sagittal T2 oblique sequences are useful for the assessment of the neural exit foraminal stenosis.
