Malrotated right kidney with hydronephrosis. A single stone is noted at the pleviureteric junction measuring 16 x 9 mm (mean density = 850 HU) with a normal size of the ureter.
Normal appearance of the left kidney with no renal or ureteral stone.
Case Discussion
CTU features of obstructive uropathy due to a pelviureteric stone.
Abnormal renal rotation may cause partial ureteropelvic junction (UPJ) obstruction, which can result in increased incidence of urolithiasis and infection.
