Presentation

Collision of foreign body with the left eye and suddenly decreased visual acuity of the eye.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male

A large dense foreign body with metallic artifacts penetrated the left eye uveo-scleral layer and vitreous body with the cornea, lens, uveo-scleral layer tear, vitreous haemorrhage, and preseptal and lacrimal gland swelling is seen.

The case illustrates the non-contrast MDCT features of ocular metallic foreign body and ocular globe rupture with vitreous haemorrhage.
