Patient Data

Age: 15 years
Gender: Male

Smooth well corticated ossicle at the superior aspect of a hypoplastic dens.

No evidence of fracture.

Additionally, there is non-fusion of the anterior arch of the atlas.

Case Discussion

Features of os odontoideum. This is one of the leave alone lesions. The differentials are persistent ossiculum terminale and odontoid fracture.
