Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female
mri

Acute parasymphyseal erosions, marrow edema is seen with mild symphyseal fluid and peripubic soft tissue edema

Mild irregularity, sclerosis is seen along iliac articular aspects of bilateral SI joints (Left>Right). No significant subchondral marrow edema is seen in present scan, likely osteitis condensans illi (incidental finding).

Mild fluid is seen is pouch of Douglas.

Case Discussion

Findings are consistent with osteitis pubis which is the cause of pelvic pain in this patient.
