Presentation
Upper right leg pain.
Patient Data
There is a well defined, small eccentric, cortical lesion in proximal diaphysis of the tibia posteriorly. It appears hypointense in T1W and heterogeneously hyperintense in T2W, It shows heterogeneous enhancement on T1 post contrast, with hypointense foci on both T1W and T2W images denoting calcifications, surrounded by periosteal enhancement and hypointensity diffuse sclerosis, with cortical irregularity and defect. This lesion is surrounded by hyperintense marrow and surrounding muscular edema, likely flare phenomenon.
Case Discussion
Small eccentric cortical-enhancing lesion surrounded with diffuse sclerosis, cortical expansion and destruction with periostitis, suggestive of an osteoblastoma.
