Presentation
The patient fell and injured her left hip. There is a known, chronic, metabolic disorder.
Patient Data
There is asymmetric cortical thickening and sclerosis of the ileopectineal and ischiopubic lines.
There is a mild acetabular protrusion.
There is an enlargement of the pubic rami and ischium.
The above features are bilateral, however, the left appears worse than the right.
There are no post-traumatic bony abnormalities.
Case Discussion
Features consistent with the known Paget disease with the pelvic brim sign secondary to ileopectineal line thickening.
There are no identified fractures, however, a CT scan was recommended for a definitive and more sensitive assessment.
