Known case of chronic hypertension. Unconscious state for last 6 hours.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male

Acute haematoma with surrounding oedema is seen within the pons.

No intraventricular extension of the haematoma.

Pontine haemorrhage is a common form of intracerebral haemorrhage, usually secondary to uncontrolled hypertension.
