Presentation
Incidental finding.
Patient Data
A 15 mm subcapsular fat attenuating lesion is noted in segment 7.
Post-surgical appearances of the esophagus and gastro-esophageal junction with some degree of stasis.
Slightly bulky left adrenal.
No other major findings.
The fatty lesion in segment 7 has an intermediate/high signal on T2 and suppresses on T2 fat sat. Most likely diagnosis is a pseudolipoma of the Glisson capsule
Case Discussion
Pseudolipoma of the Glisson capsule is an uncommon fat-containing liver lesion that is a mass of fat tissue from the epiploic appendages that becomes ectopically situated between the diaphragm and liver. This lesion is asymptomatic and no treatment is necessary.
