Pulmonary tuberculosis

- few thick-walled (6 mm) cavitary lesions with smooth inner margin are noted in the bilateral upper lung lobes, the largest measuring 3.0 x 3.3 cm in the apical segment of the right upper lobe with an adjacent area of consolidation.
- multiple centrilobular nodular opacities are noted in the bilateral lung fields, bilateral upper lobes, and superior segment of the right lower lobe with opacified distal bronchioles giving tree in bud appearance and some coalescing to form fluffy opacities in the bilateral upper lobes.
- a moderate amount of right-sided pleural effusion is seen with a sub-segmental collapse of the adjacent right lower lobe.
