a well-defined thin-walled cystic lesion in the left sublingual space, not extending in the left sub-mandibular space. The lesion appears T1 hypointense, T2/STIR hyperintense with mild peripheral rim enhancement.
no internal septations/ flow voids or phlebolith were noted within.
few sub-centimetric-sized lymph nodes are seen in bilateral levels IB, II, III, and V without central necrosis suggesting reactive nodes.
T2 hyperintense mucosal thickening in the right maxillary sinus.
Case Discussion
The above features and location of the lesion are typical for simple ranula.
