Chronic constipation on and off for the last 3 years.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

Double contrast barium enema shows abnormal long colon with twists and loops more prominent at transverse and  descending colon.

Case Discussion

Redundant colon is a common cause of constipation. Early detection plays a preventive role from serious complications like diverticulosis. Barium enema is a safe and fast method to detect redundant colon.
