Presentation
History of loss of pregnancy.
Patient Data
The images demonstrate convex external contour of the uterine fundus. The upper part of endometrial canal is divided by a myometrial cleft into two parts. The apex of the fundus is 10 mm far from the horizontal line drawn between the two tubal ostia.
Incidental finding of an adnexal cyst.
Case Discussion
A common form of Müllerian duct anomaly usually associated with loss of pregnancy. MRI is helpful in depiction of the abnormality. The upper surface of the uterine fundus is convex and a complete or partial septum can be seen in the endometrial cavity dividing it into two parts. The diagnosis of septate uterus is made when the apex of the fundal contour is >5 mm above a line drawn between the tubal ostia.
