Slow flow vascular malformation - deltoid muscle

Non-traumatic origin of left shoulder pain - few weeks. Small nodular swelling - posterior aspect of shoulder - few years.

Patient Data

Age: about 35 yrs
Gender: Male
Modality: X-ray

Few tiny calcification foci in soft tissue at the level of proximal shaft of humerus.

No bony abnormality is noted.

Modality: Ultrasound

Tiny serpentine anechoic channels are noted involving posterior fibres of deltoid muscle. Few echogenic foci are noted within: phleboliths. Low flow signals are noted.

Rotator cuff: normal (images not uploaded).
