Presentation
Right hypochondrial pain. Ultrasound showed gall stone. CT was done to confirm cholecystitis or any other abnormality.
Patient Data
Multiple site of focal weakening of wall of terminal duodenum and entire jejunum showing air fluid levels within suggestive of benign diverticulosis. No diverticular wall thickening or peridiverticular fat stranding to suggest active inflammation.
Inflamed gall bladder with a stone in the bladder neck. Chronicity depicted in the walls which show areas of sloughing.
Case Discussion
Whilst the study was done to assess the gall bladder, the diverticular outpouching of distal duodenum and jejunum were incidental findings. Diverticulosis of small bowel per se is rare, less commonly encountered and diagnosed. They tend to present late when symptomatic.
