Presentation

History of fall from a height of about 1 metre, the patient hit his right elbow forcefully against the ground, on local examination: tenderness at the posterior aspect of the right elbow, 1cm lacerated wound.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

No fracture or dislocation is seen. 

Soft tissue shadows appear swollen, showing subcutaneous radiolucent areas at the posterior aspect of the elbow joint ( subcutaneous emphysema).

Case Discussion

The patient was referred to the General Hospital, for the necessary procedure.
