There is an intraventricular mass in the foramen of Monro area, on the left, with contrast enhancement and irregular calcifications. Multiple subependymal calcified nodules are also seen.

Case Discussion

Subependymal giant cell astrocytoma is the second most common manifestation of tuberous sclerosis (TS). The foramen of Monroe is the classic location. Some of the subependymal nodules themselves can transform into SGCA over a period of time.
