Presentation

Acute abdominal pain

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female

The cecum and appendix are subhepatic. The appendix is retrocecal, dilated up to 14 mm in diameter. There are periappendical fat stranding and intraluminal hyperdense materials at the neck and body of the appendix, suggesting appendicoliths. There is no free air nor fluid collection. No bowel obstruction. Otherwise, unremarkable terminal ileum and cecum.

No urolithiaisis. No cholecystolithiaisis/cholecystitis. 

Mild uncomplicated colonic diverticulosis. Small Hiatal hernia. Liver cysts.
