Diffuse markedly hypointense signal of bone marrow of scanned parts of the vertebral column, in both T1w and T2W images.
Two small hyperintense lesions in T1W and T2W images in L2 and L4 vertebral bodies, denoting fatty haemangiomas.
L4-5: small, minimal right paracentral disc protrusion, abutting the right nerve root subarticularly.
Case Discussion
Diffuse low signal of the skeleton on both T1W and T2W sequences, bone marrow changes related to haemoglobinopathy in a case of known thalassaemia major.
