Thyroglossal duct cyst

Multilobulated, midline submental superficially located cystic lesion, just inferior to the hyoid bone. It shows thin enhancing wall as well as two enhancing mural nodules. No calcific Foci.
The thyroid gland appears normal in location and texture. No focal lesion.
Case Discussion
Radiological feature are mostly in keeping with thyroglossal duct cyst with possible thyroid malignancy versus ectopic thyroid tissue.
Papillary thyroid carcinoma in thyroglossal duct cyst should be considered whenever there are soft tissue mural nodule or calcification especially with a normal thyroid gland .
