1 episode of unconsciousness, transient amnesia

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male
mri

A tiny focus of restricted diffusion is seen along the lateral edge of the right hippocampus which is further confirmed on coronal diffusion-weighted images.

A small right choroid fissure cyst is incidentally noted.

Finding is consistent with transient global amnesia and explains the patient's symptoms.
