History of primary infertility got pregnant on medical ovulation induction.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Female

Transabdominal

ultrasound

Gravid uterus with three gestational sacs, each has a live embryo with an average gestational age of 8 weeks. Normal fetal pole pulsations of each embryo. Good decidual reaction.

Case Discussion

Uncomplicated early triplet pregnancy scan with live embryos. The gynaecologist recommended reducing gestational sacs into twins. Studies show reduction of triplet into twins increases gestational age at delivery, lowers rate of gestational diabetes and preterm labour and decreases hospital stay 1.
