Dilatation of the distal right ureter prolapsed into the bladder lumen at the normal vesicoureteric junction position giving the classic "cobra head sign" in keeping with ureterocele.
Normal appearance of both kidneys with no duplication of the collecting system.
Case Discussion
Intravesical ureterocele also known as "simple" or "orthotopic" ureterocele is considerably less common than the ectopic variety and is almost always confined to the adult population. There is a congenital prolapse of a dilated distal ureter into the bladder lumen at the normal vesicoureteric junction.
