FLENI (stands for "Fundación para la Lucha contra las Enfermedades Neurológicas de la Infancia") is a non-profit organization created in 1959 by Dr. Raúl Carrea (then Head of the 'Ward 18' at the Dr. Ricardo Gutiérrez Children's Hospital) alongside a group of benefactors, with the initial goal of contributing to the prevention and fight against neurological diseases in childhood.
More than 60 years after its creation, FLENI has evolved towards comprehensive care of neurological pathologies, including prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation, and is today an internationally prestigious medical institution that serves children and adults in all areas related to Neuroscience.
