Signs of severe hemodynamic adaptation with a risk of acidosis
reversed-end diastolic flow in the umbilical artery
pulsatile umbilical vein flow
Case Discussion
This is a classical example of severe hemodynamic adaptation in fetal Doppler ultrasound. Such cases are at high risk of intrauterine demise. The baby was delivered and kept in the NICU. Fortunately, the baby was discharged on oral feeds later.
