Epididymal masses are most commonly seen in routine ultrasonography . Most of the masses are benign and malignant lesions are rare.
Pathology
Causes
Benign lesions include
- epididymal cyst
- spermatocele
- inflammatory changes
- sperm granulomas
- sarcoid
- post vasectomy granuloma
- epididymal lipoma
- adenomatoid tumours : adenomatoid tumour of the scrotum
- papillary cystadenoma
Malignant lesions include
- metastases
- leukaemias
- adenocarcinoma
- leiomyosarcoma
