Presentation
Right side proptosis and hard-touch bulge on right frontal calvarium.
Patient Data
A large benign-appearing osseous mass lesion with a height up to 40 mm and axial width up to 60 x 45 mm in the right frontal sinus cavity and orbital roof widely extended within the upper orbital cavity with an impression on related extraocular muscle, eye, and optic nerve sheath complex is seen. Preseptal and lacrimal gland soft tissue swelling is seen which is due to a previously performed biopsy.
Case Discussion
The case illustrates the non-contrast MDCT feature of pathology-proved Giant osteoma of the frontal sinus extended within the upper orbital cavity that has led to proptosis. The main treatment is surgical excision 1.
