Aneurysmal bone cyst - rib

Chest pain.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male

A large, expansile lytic lesion with a narrow zone of transition involving the posterior part of left third rib with no cortical destruction nor extra-osseous soft tissue involvement. Few internal trabeculations are seen within the lesion. No periosteal reaction nor matrix calcification. No parenchymal lung abnormality.

Appearances are most likely suggesting aneurysmal bone cyst.
