Sagittal T2WI MR through the pelvis demonstrates a multilocular cystic mass with areas of low signal intensity in the posterior solid component in the ovary. Post-contrast images demonstrate enhancement of the solid components of the cystic mass.
Case Discussion
Given its size, solid components, and enhancement characteristics, surgical excision was recommended.
Differential considerations
- Ovarian cystadenofibroma
- Ovarian cystadenocarcinoma
- Sclerosing stromal tumor of the ovary
- Ovarian masses with fibrous components
- Metastatic ovarian tumors
Pathology: Ovarian serous cystadenofibroma.
